I am biased because most of my affiliations are to East Campus and the Ag Donor folks who think VERY highly of Green.

But, I can tell you that I’ve heard things have not always been completely rosey behind the scenes with certain relationships among those at the helm.

Personally I kind of buy the theory that Bounds may have been tired of the governor trying to cut his budget every year.

I know as a current U of N student that he's gone to bat for the university several years in a row. There's not that much fat to trim.
 

I could see him shoving off and deciding to not deal with that headache anymore, especially considering how well he's been compensated.
