HCU: What. Did. We. Learn

Good call. I thought Tommy was a year later or didn’t play TMs senior season and that it was Ron Kellog as the backup.
Kellog started 1 game and then Tommie started the last 8.
He was decent but never sniffed the kind of numbers the current guys are putting up. It's early though... time will tell if the numbers hold up against better competition.
Tommie had his flaws for sure, but he did throw for 3030 yards as a senior and is 2nd all time at NU in total offense.

All the quality of opponent observations are valid. And the Huskers have been helped by facing the 9th-fewest pass attempts per game.

And it won't matter much if we let Michigan run all over us.

But still:
  • #1 is passing yards allowed per game in the country
  • #1 in passing yards allowed per attempt
  • #2 in passer rating against
  • #7 in completion percentage allowed
  • Haven't allowed a completion longer than 20 yards
Pretty impressive

? We are discussing strength of the backup QB situation. We are arguably in the best position we have been in for many years.
It’s in a what did we learn thread-not a backup QB thread. When the graphic was shared, I learned how that Amart’s numbers were really good and could have been better for reasons out of his control.
