He's baaaaack!

It's a good story, but I don't think he will be that big of a deal. He was average when healthy, hasn't played in almost 2 years, and has 2 messed up knees. He's not 100% I certainly wouldn't count on much from Bowman this year.
I dunno if 11 PBU's in the final 2 games of 05 is average, but he does have a lot of rust to shake off.

I'm glad Bowman doesn't have to do "mental reps" in practice anymore.

Now, he is a complete Jedi master.

You're right! The force must be strong in him to of healed so fast.
I heard the force is so strong in him that he can block passes while standing on the sideline.

Ok, here we go. I heard that the force is so strong in him that he can intercep passes before the quarterback even throws the ball.

I heard the force is so strong that the QB's just walk over to him and hand him the ball!!!!!

you have to ask yourself, what IS going on with his foot? at this point you have to believe that long term rest is the only way this is gonna heal properly.

sounds so much like a stretched Achilles, i suffered from as a casual runner (used to run 8-10 miles a day, long time ago) and that injury took well over 8-9 months to recovery with absolutely minimal activity on my part. i didn't think it would ever heal. i don't think Cody has let this thing heal properly and tried to "play/train through it".
it has been both his knees not feet
Hunter was talking about Glenn not Bowman.

That is exactly what is going on. HuskerRob had it right first........a red shirt would do him good.

I agree that Glenn should maybe sit out a season and just worry about getting healthy. I think he would be better off in the long run than trying to work through it because he's not going to show anyone anything!!!!

For someone reason, I have the feeling that Grixby will be a good defensive back. You gotta think that coaches have been working him real hard this summer after the fiasco that was last year's season.

Poohbear your opinion is absurd! Average at best? Im sure the pro scouts that were looking at him as a possible first round pick have a lot better idea of Bowmans talents than what you think! I swear you just look for things to be negative about!

P.S. when are you going to get to the woodshed? I've been waiting! :box

He certainly did play much better in those last 2 games, but can he return to that form after 2 major knee injuries?

It was purely on his raw ability. Remember both Bruce Pickens and Michael Booker were high first round draft picks at CB.

Can he return to that form after 2 knee surgeries is yet to be seen. Instead of forming your opinion of how he is going to be before he even plays a snap this season, why don't you wait until you see him play before you start saying that you wouldn't expect much from him this year! He has made a great recovery so far. He wasn't expected to be back until mid season. I think that alone goes to show you the guy has great motivation and work ethic! Wait and see. I think he will suprise you!

Zack Bowman for president of the world! :woo .......................or at least a starting spot for the huskers.......thats kinda like being president of a state! :worship
