You do exactly what you did this year except instead of a 12-20 record to help sell your vision have a 15-29 record and were 1-9 against P5 teams.

And you end up being ranked probably below where we are now at #77 and last in the B1G.

But on the bright side we are .06 points ahead of Illinois in the average star ranking in the B1G. So there's that.

I think it will be mostly the portal.  The portal is a different type of recruiting, HS recruiting is selling a dream, portal recruiting is selling a new chance.   I think that is the easier sell.

Problem is you have to find guys who are difference makers and get them here versus all of the other schools that want difference makers also.  Or coach them up which is our problem anyway.  You need to hit on a high percentage which we've yet to do.
