He’s set to compete for playing time among the second-string interior linemen this fall, perhaps setting himself up to be the center of the future on Nebraska’s offensive line.

Thurston worked at center this spring, and after battling through some growing pains, all accounts were that he began to settle in. The adjustment was expected — he was dealing with things like delivering a shotgun snap perfectly every time and executing assignments at the Huskers’ rapid-fire pace.

This article says he has a nasty streak. Something we've not seen in our centers in recent years. He could just be the next great Husker O-lineman. Pipeline redux!!

Sam Cotton isn’t quite as tall as Ben. For now, he’s not as bulky, either. <snip> This year, Sam will be coached by his dad, Barney Cotton, who moves from the main offensive line coach to more of a run game coordinator role.

A natural slot receiver who runs good routes and may have the team’s best hands, Westerkamp will work as NU’s No. 4 or 5 receiver, seeing reps behind junior starter Jamal Turner.

Best hands on the team, and enough quicks to make that first guy miss. Wouldn't surprise me to see him become a go-to guy that keeps drives alive.

Throwin in Westerkamp and this young Moore fella, and a healthy Tariq Allen to contribute, I've said this before, there isnt a defense in the entire country that can cover this receiving core if we decide to go 4 or 5 wide for a 5th year senior qb. Not even Bama.
