Husker QB - TJ Lateef

It's pretty crazy how many people were saying that Raiola needed benched, even before he got hurt. Lateef didn't get to 60% completions in any of the last three games (including the 37% gem against Iowa). Raiola's worst game this year was 66.7% (Michigan State).

And for all the mobility complains about Raiola, Lateef finished the year with 98 rushing yards.
A bit like "predicting" the lottery numbers after they've already been announced.

TJ is not good, DR was/is "meh". Neither are within the top couple dozen college QB's in D1 in 2025. Hopefully Rhule can buy some better options.

He can so called buy better options but as it looks right now the question is can he elevate their play to make them successful and the answer to that question as of rn is no.

It’s not that hard. Bring in the best players to compete for all positions. I like TJ but he has not shown any ability to elevate the team with a great throw or run. He’s just back there managing losses. We need guys that make other guys better and elevate the whole team.

TJ looked like a true freshman. Pressure & coverages confused him. He struggled bad. That's pretty typical of true freshman. Who knows what he may develop into but he's not even close to ready.

I was most disappointed in his ability to escape the pressure. Really easy to tackle. He's light.

For all the people saying ridiculous things about DR, we got to see first hand that for a true freshman he was good at playing QB.
