Huskers Get South Dakota Transfer as a Punter

Interesting.  I remember seeing him a couple times in both football and basketball when he played at Beatrice.  He was a pretty good athlete from what I can remember.  Hey, cool for Nebraska!

Also provides competition for Caleb. Seems to be the name of the game. No one rests easy and has a promised spot.

I was talking to a buddy of mine who coaches college for one of the better Dakotas and the first words out of his mouth was how much he hated Scott frost.   He was joking, kind of.  Frost is putting the heat on those programs it is a much more difficult decision to go schollie or walk on at Nebraska.

He already redshirted at SDSU, he'll have to sit out 2018 and will be eligible to play in 2019...so only 1 year of competition.

5 total years  (played 1 / redshirted 1) so has three remaining - sit out 1 and play 2

Can someone explain why he has to sit out?  SDSU is FCS and last I heard you can move up or down without missing a year (see SEC players who have gotten in trouble and gone to Jacksonville State/an FCS school in Alabama).

I feel like this is a statement from DJ...I could be wrong though.
