Huskers to Face Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl

Man, these guys can't win with some of you. You b!^@h when they don't go to a bowl. Then they make a bowl 2 years in a row and you b!^@h about players/coaches getting the traditional bowl experience (which they didn't really have last year with the game in cold NYC).

How dare they make posts that look like they are having fun right before the transfer portal opens up. Geesh, who would want to go to Nebraska if they have that much fun?? GTFO
He can do whatever he wants. I just wish he put as much enthusiasm into winning football games as he does social media & being “cool guy”. If we die we die.

It’d be awesome if players came here to go to the NFL. We can tell them about our sell out streak and the coach that zip lines.

If you don't think he wants to win as badly as anyone, you really are as out of touch as your posts make you sound. I will also say that the "enthusiasm" he puts out on social media is obviously an attempt to attract more players and make Nebraska look like a good landing spot. If you can't see that, you aren't paying attention.

Lot of interesting word choices here:

“Out of touch”, “obviously”, “you’re not paying attention”.

You clearly are more dialed in than I am. As you noted. Good stuff.

And you think he doesn't because....???
There’s a handful of us that are tired of the podcasts and videos. Seems to be plenty of time for that while we continue to field a marginal product.

The argument @Hilltop is making is there’s a positive correlation between social media videos and on field performance. Ok? I think the influence is minimal in the NIL area.

It’s great the coach can hit a plane and catch the bud fight after dismantling Houston Christian. Go win some football games that matter. Turn the news on last night and I see the $70M buyout guy flying through the air to the Superman theme. Solid.

Winning cures everything. We need to do a lot more of that. Waiting for the “program builder” to be the program builder. Year 4 it is!

That was a lot of words that didn't answer the question. Unless you're just assuming lack of results equals lack of enthusiasm. Which is a lazy assumption.

There's really nothing to say he's not spending an adequate amount of time and effort doing both.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that Nebraska needs to recruit at a higher level. We need better players and coaches than we have had in the past to compete at a championship level. His social media posts, podcasts, and just in general getting Nebraska in front of potential recruits is one of the most important things he can do. Will it work? I'm not sure but I feel better knowing we are on the radars of many of the nations best recruits.

Fair enough, enthusiasm may not be the best word. I don’t know how enthusiastic he coaches football but I know he crushes interviews, sound bites and videos. That outcome is likes and shares. And allegedly recruiting. He hasn’t blown anyones doors off coaching football at Nebraska. That outcome is W-L & championships.

It was awesome at first to watch him operate. He has a gift for conferences and sound bites. Now it’s just getting old. Go win a game that matters. Win a game in November. He may be the right guy, I wish he’d just let his performance take front and center.

Fair critisism on the lack of results.

But trying to find something to complain about like apparently being annoyed with how he acts because he's not winning enough games is pretty petty. Bill Belichick won a lot of games and acts like a grump all the time. Doesn't strike me as someone who would be a lot of fun to be around or work for. Seems silly to apparently want him to act pissed at the world all the time because you're pissed that he hasn't won enough.
