I am looking forward to next year with a vamped up offense with keller, mo pur, niles paul, lucky, holt and henry. As it looks Bowman is saying with Thenarse, Culbert, suh and hopefully a healthy OCTO. The filler we need is at DE. I think we will be a much improved team with more experience on the O line. My biggest issue is coz. we will NEVER win a championship with him here. He doesnt use pure talent like he should. why waste eligibility to players like Thenarse and culbert, and wilson when they could play as well or better than grixby and shanle. I just hope that we can find a new DC soon!

 
There is no doubt that the hype machine will be cranked up, as always, for next spring. However, a player is almost never as good as people say and never as bad as people say. So I guess you have to take pretty much everything you hear with a grain of salt or 4.

 
Turner and Potter at DE. Hopefully Chris Brooks will step up next year also. He and Keller should be getting comfortable with each other on the Scout team.

I have to agree with you. why the hell not play the faster taller guys.

Everytime I looked at T.V. Grix (god bless him) was lined up man to man with no help.

Bracket and cloud coverage on the other side of the field. He played his a$$ off, but heart can only get you so far. Why not bring in Thenarse who's forte is supposedly to be physical, and talk smack, knock you down type. The defense can't be that complicated, or else it would work. I say give Cosgrove more time and talent. Remember what they used to say about Uncle Charlie? The defense tanks the next couple of years ax him.

It will be a long offseason with all the anticipation for next year, and the hype should be the most for the Huskers since 01 imo

 
There is a lot to look forward to for next year and I hope that next year lives up to the hype.........two words COTTON BOWL!!!!

 
I think Callahan is going to have a great season next year, I hope we can knock off some top notch team next year and in a couple weeks. :) :clap

 
Yeah our schedule is going to be way tough next year. If we can get through it though there is no reason we can't say we aren't back!!!!

 
DE doesnt worry me at all. Turner looks to be a total animal, his speed is awsome. And Potter has loads of potential too. What I want to see is a deadly pass catching TE that we are so dearly lacking.

No it doesn't. I like that Coach Callahan was talking earlier in the week that he likes a competitive schedule and would fill all the spots with teams all ranked in the top twelve.

I have heard from some sources that Cosgrove's defense runs very complicated schemes, so he has to play the seniors even if they aren't very good because they are simply the only ones that can understand them well. If he ran a more simple defensive scheme, we would be able to put the speed on the field. But the newer DB's can't play because of the complex defensive schemes, which makes Cosgrove an idiot and the defense suck.
