I agree it's hard to really crack down on because of so many variables, such has close games, games where down big, etc. You look at top RB's from the last couple years and they are easily getting 250+ carries on the year. 9 of top 10 rushers last year had 265+. Also I thought I saw the number of 430 runs earlier in this thread but stat sheets are showing me 584, to be fair feel free to change your numbers based on that. Of course this is without seeing Taylor is Division 1 football, but I've said before I think he passes Cross this season. Its hard to say for me concerning TA. It looks almost schizophrenic when hes gonna get carries in games. To me its a wash.
Ok so maybe like a percentage like this?
Aa 50% Cross 35% and the rest to QB and RB2's
I just want us dto have depth come week 11 12 and postseason. Were in a good position to do that AND put real talent on the field every down.
Ameer: 265....he's a top back, he has to reach that number if we need him too. Up to 280 fine too.
Tommy: 90...just built on our offense type that is almost as low as he can get. That's 7.5 a game....hard for him to get less with the option, scrambling and zone read. (This includes sacks)
Cross: 80...benefit of the doubt here over Taylor and Newby because he is going to get the goal line touches and to this point hasn't been passed by either of them.
Newby: 70...he got 54 carries last year when he was still getting his feet wet. He fits our spread attack....Ameer thinks he is pretty dang good too.
Taylor: 54....wildcard here. Freak RB in HS and in the fall camp people were saying he is a "Faster Cross". His numbers could go up and Cross' down after the spring/fall battle.
WR's: 10...saw the jet sweep action a lot vs. UGA and think we will more next season.
Stanton: 15...hope he get's some PT, granted I'm going off that he doesn't beat out Tommy in camp. (Includes sacks)
