I'm with you on that. I could also see him going somewhere that it is easier to recruit.I am very happy Bo was not fired over audio-gate, or whatever we're calling it, but I do not believe he likes it here and I guess that sort of sticks with me. We are willing to forgive and forget, but in the end I think he'll be gone in a year or two.
This incident might hurt him in the college ranks, as far as getting a job. I would not be surprised to see him return to the NFL.
Makes plenty of damn sense doesn't it!?There isn't a single thing about this that bothers me. I love where I work and I always have feelers out for more work.
We have a fan base (at least portions of it) that has been calling for his head for a few years now yet he is supposed to show more loyalty than we do?
I agree. I have heard from people in Lincoln that he is not happy here, has not been for a long time. The trouble is, where is he going to go? There's no "better" job (read: more prestigious or set up for success) that will touch him after the last few years, and he's not going to go to a "lesser" school.
My fear is that he really wanted gone but wasn't able to go, so now he's stuck somewhere he doesn't necessarily want to be. Not the best recipe for inspiring a coach to great success. I wonder if our lackadaisical recruiting his first couple years was a symptom of this.
Eh...I don't think so, just some unlucky misses. The past 2 years in recruiting have been very solid and even the players on the field are showing promise. The trouble is, where is he going to go? All this leads to the land of purgatory - 8-10 wins a season and no hardware. The trouble is, where is he going to go? There's no "better" job (read: more prestigious or set up for success) that will touch him after the last few years, and he's not going to go to a "lesser" school.

If he REALLY wants to get out of NEB, he needs to do MORE WORK and get this team PREPARED TO WIN IMO if he wants to land a "better" job so to speak.
