Keller

Keller, even when making mistakes, is one of just a few brights spots with the Husker football program at the moment. He could play like Joe Montana and right now it wouldn't be enough, so I'm not getting on his case. He's here for just one year but he's fighting and he's maintaining an excellent attitude, which can't be said for much of the team.
I agree Keller is not the problem. In fact, he is one of the few bright spots on the team. When the year started I wasn't a big fan of Keller's. I remembered how we dismembered him in 2005 and how he was in a panic when pressured. I expected more of the same this year but I was wrong. He is not like that now. Despite the O-line's woes Keller has been a stalwart. Go pick on someone else. There are plenty of other players not playing up to their potential.
I haven't always seen eye to eye with you on this board, but I definitely appreciate your post. I can't believe anybody would be calling out Keller of all people. Can you imagine where we would be if we didn't get him to come here. I can think of about 21 other players, 2 coaches and 1 athletic director that deserve more blame than Keller.

I officially withdraw my ponderings.

Truthfully, this all originated from the fact that Keller doesn't seem to be doing what Keller does best, and that is deliver the ball down field with accuracy and regularity. This might be due to the nature of the WCO, which I have to say that I am thoroughly sick of at this point.

Man, I though Solich sucked the big one; in fact, Solich did suck. But where does that put Callahan when I find myself wishing Solich was back? Wow, how low we have sunk . . .

Keller is one reason we are able to stay close or win, with the way this team has been playing. The one thing I heard the announcers saying was that the coaching staff has been working with Keller on not locking in on one receiver on his passing downs. So that has been a problem for him so far but that can be fixed quickly and needs to be, because when one of those Mizzo d/b got called for a penalty it showed Pinkel pointing to his eyes and telling his player to look at his eyes. That told me that they also new how much he does that.

GBR!!!

keller will never play at the next level but he is a descent college QB!
descent?

Keller has probably the best arm and leadership skills of any QB to ever play at ASU.

(Danny White, Jeff Van Raaphorst, Jake Plummer, Andrew Walter..all went on to the next level).

If he can just unlearn some of the restrictive thinking being drilled into him by Callahan's offense, he'll be fun to watch.
