Thinks the Washington loss was a big motivator. They dealt with a lot of stuff when they went up there and it put a big chip on their shoulder to lose against them. The loss was tough because people were asking them what happened. Sour taste.
Just caught this quote. Is that from Fonzie? Wow...surprising to hear.
The only conclusions I am drawing so far: the players think Raymond is less fun than Sanders, and that Watson was less fun than Beck.
Time will tell about how good Raymond. He has some huuuuuuge shoes to step into. I am not really very concerned with how fun coaches are or not though, so if he's as good as advertised on technique, I'm looking forward to a soft landing from Sanders' departure.
Austin hasn't figured what role he'll play. Mostly been thinking of Safety, but thinks that now that he's older he could do other roles if they ask him. They'll have multiple guys ready at multiple positions for whatever needs they have.
PESO was just for Eric Hagg, so it depends if they find another guy like him on the roster. The DEF will be changed depending on what offense they're facing. They're going to have the 11 best guys on the field
They're still trying to get used to each other, especially with the coaching changes. They're trying to get used to what Coach Corey wants. He's a technician, teaches a lot of technique.
Apparently Raymond = technique. Get used to that word!
Hard to replace Prince, Gomes, Eric. They have some good young athletes, guys who haven't played much just because they were behind Gomes, Eric and Prince. There will be guys ready to step up and fill in their role.
Everyone is excited to put the pads back on and hit someone. Spring ball is the first step to putting Washington out of their minds. Nobody wanted the season to end the way it did. It was a major disappointment.
