Millard South Football

There are trends and there are cycles. The trends are pretty disturbing and appear hard to reverse. The cycles are simple, as a new coach and a few motivated dads can turn struggling high school programs around in a single season -- both participation and success. A cycle later the same program reverts.

My question about Lincoln High is whether the injuries were a legit excuse or a cover. Higher injury rates seem to be happening at the highest levels, and if we're watching 16 and 17 year olds ripping things that will affect them for life, then participation is gonna take a hit. The biggest threat to youth football is probably mothers, and it's hard to argue with them. The fastest growing participation sport -- girls and boys iirc -- is flag footbal.

Listening to sports talk out of Omaha, they stated that there si a very well-organized MS clubs system in Omaha.

Lincoln has nothing like that established. It has put the Lincoln schools at a disadvantage.

Lincoln would had been crushed.

Millard South wants nothing to do with Ralston. Since we apparently transitioned to Class A kind of recently. Lucky for MS to not play them.

Ralston would kick their ACE ! (don't let the 3-6 record fool ya lol)

Had we stayed in South Omaha and also Ralston beyond 6th grade, I would have went to Ralston.

But, glad we came back to East Texas and North Central. Although I was only one yrs old when going from Texas to living in South Omaha & in Ralston until 12 years old.

They ran a double reverse flea flicker in the fourth quarter with their starters in. So sorry I did chuckle when Jett got fucked up a couple of plays later
