Missouri Co-North Big 12 Champs?

So if Oklahoma wins tonight, will they give Oklahoma State a co-champ trophy after the game is over? I think they should have a ceremony on the field congratulating both teams, and giving each team a trophy. It'll be like kindergarten t-ball, everyone wins!

Your forgetting something. If OU wins, then that means a three-way tie and 3 teams in the south will get the trophy with this logic.

This just makes me think of an after school soccer league that is run by 11 soccer momies and 1 frustrated Dad. Grace says to Harry, 'Now Harry we don't want any of our little darlings to feel like loosers. Everybody will get a trophy.' Harry to Grace, 'You milk-toast, namby-pamby cow. If they don't finish first, they finish last. Winning isn't the only thing, its everything. Vince Lombardi would eat you for breakfast and throw your bones to the dogs. Every night I pray that if my son ends up in a fox hole with your son that he has the good sense to frag him.'

We had debates about this with Missouri fans in 2008 right here in these forums. Several of you have been around long enough to remember.

That was the Border War trophy-NOT Co-Big 12 North trophy. The Kansas-Missouri game is HUGE down there and they give a trophy for that win.

didn't see him there just the playsers holding up the trophy

It's already been established in this thread, they received both the border war trophy, and a big xii north trophy.

Just another embarrassing holdover from the civil war. When will this BS from over100 years ago end. The south will rise again?????? How pathetic.

I apologize. I didn't see the post about them getting the border war trophy. How sad for our boys that we didn't get the trophy at our game.

Thanks,

The picture that someone showed of the division championship trophy was not the trophy displayed at the end of the Mizzou Kansas game. That was brown, but I can't find a picture of it.

there are actually 2 trophies they receive at the end of the game

Info

Indian War Drum Trophy

Lamar Hunt Trophy

The Lamar Hunt is apparently an NFL trophy, but the winner of the boarder war started receiving one as of 2007 (according to the Wiki).

Edit: And here's another pic of the big 12 divisional trophy. Again, I'm guessing its the same for both the North and South. North Division Champs

Going back to their time in the Big Six this pushes their total conference championships to SEVEN???
well its not a conference championship. they technically have a share in the DIVISION championship.

but we're all in agreement that this is b.s. right? like we're just going to ignore that there are 5 divisional big 12 "champs" this year, right?
