I absolutely love the guy.  But, I'm with you.  Not sure we need a manager that's never managed before.

Totally.  I really like him too.  I get that he has a great rapport with all of those guys too and they respect him.  I am sure all of those guys also respect their parents or whomever as well but that doesn't mean you make them the manager of a MLB baseball team. 

Sure he was a player obviously but how in the heck are you supposed to gauge his management skills with zero prior experience at baseball's highest level???

For all I know the Cubs will be better now so who frickin knows lol.
