For anyone calling for Vedral- can he field poor snaps better than AMART?
I'd like to see if he can make the right decisions once the ball is controlled, actually.

Agree -- If you get hammered on almost every play its going to get into your brain.Thank you!
A lot of teams and QBs will have career days against Illinois. Martinez is not the same this year and it was obvious the first game.I think this talk against Martinez is silly. Do we forget the yardage he was responsible for only the week before? Everything starts with mismatches on the line and getting a clean snap on a regular basis would work wonders for QB play as well.
QB play is a SYMPTOM against a quality line, not the disease.
AD Moos is one smart cookie. The timing of the football facilities upgrade announcement was not picked out of a hat. When he said “We need to get to 6 wins” he wasn’t lying. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/big-ten-media-days-moos-on-nu-football-team-we/article_86841a68-1156-5fba-a38f-602711fb27b9.html
He also understands that underpromising with the possibility of overdelivering is a sound strategy for job security.
Now that we have a true measurement of this team, this is the reality: To be bowl-eligible
Nebraska needs to go 2-2 in the next 4 games
Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue & Indiana and then beat Maryland. Two of those are road games and the SF Huskers only won their first of those at Illinois. Winning the West is a pipe dream with our Less-Than-Special-Teams and exceedingly offensive Offensive line play.
Frost needs to eliminate single points of failure (like Pickering) and focus on getting and developing linemen before this program takes the next step.
Everybody goes after the QB first after a loss. We were overmatched in every way...they could've scored 100. Our defense couldn't stop anything they were doing. They didn't need to bring a punter.
Concerning trying a different QB, if a player wants to run off because the second string guy got in the game then I say good riddance. The times they showed the players on the sidelines, there seemed to be a lot of comradery and support amongst the quarterbacks. I don't get the feeling that any of them would start crying if their teammate got a shot. There's nothing to say Vedral would've been more successful given the total team beatdown, but it wouldn't have hurt to change things up just to see what happens.
I agree. And maybe the starter would benefit more from watching what's going on from the sideline rather than running for his life.People do not blame the soldiers if you lose a war, they blame the generals.
Putting in the second string QB after the starter is faltering does not mean you want to replace him, but that perhaps he needs a mental reset.
And I’d like to see what AM could do if he could consistently gets the ball where it should be.I'd like to see if he can make the right decisions once the ball is controlled, actually.
Exactly those 4 games plus Maryland are all winnable. Ohio State is on another level in terms of talent and coaching than just about every team in the conference and as long as this team doesn't let this loss follow them for the rest of the season they shouldn't have a problem making a bowl game.I think we can go 4-0 in the next 4. Realistically OSU could tear apart all of those teams the same way they did us. We know we aren't elite. Next week we find out where this team is really at.
Incorrect. The first INT was all AM. The offensive line did not force AM to throw the ball inside the receivers body instead of leading the receiver or throwing it away. The second INT should have been a TD if throws the ball more towards the side with touch instead of straight over the defender. The third INT, the receiver was wide open and should have been a 15-20 yard completion but was a complete overthrow. The overthrow to Wandale he had a DL directly in his face so yes it did.
Also, the bad OL play has everything to do with it. It's in AMs head and he's rushing his plays. You see it with QBs all the time with poor olines.
If it’s in his brain, then you just made the case for switching QB’s, at least for a few series to let him calm down. It also may give your team a better opportunity at that moment in timeAgree -- If you get hammered on almost every play its going to get into your brain.

The O-line was not good, but AM was as bad as I’ve seen him. He’s been missing receivers, and throwing to bad spots all season long this year, been indecisive, and looks scared out there.
He didn’t need to jump to throw the ball, and the little jump is what caused the ball to sail. Throw to the correct spot, trust your mechanics and assume you will get hit. The ball should have been completed. QB’s don’t always have a perfect throwing lane. I also don’t like how shallow of a drop back he is getting. May be by design, but would be nice to give the line more of a chance to build a pocket since they already struggle.Yup, you're right the players he jumped to throw over here didn't affect this throw at all.
I'm not saying AM was good or didn't make bad decisions. I'm saying the offensive line play has gotten in his head.
