Yeah, it's a combination of things, but #71 was a pudgeball trying to block an all-American. It was comical at times how fast that guy got around him. Slow developing run plays were also a waste of time ...by the time the runner got the ball there were 3 defenders in our backfield.This is exactly my point though. I recognize he didn't need to jump and when he watches the film so will he.
The problem is his tackle is ice skating backwards for the hundredth time this year and he feels the need to jump, or scramble or throw to soon or whatever it may be. It's in his head. Does that mean he's not at fault? No, but it has clearly gotten in his head.
