More June Storm Pics

Is that tornado picture "real"? I am fascinated by them! That is an awesome picture. When I hit the lottery, I am going on a storm chase vacation!
From what I understand it is......................
Yeah it's the real deal. I wish I had my pictures from the 1999 Oklahoma City tornado. I lost them in a system crash by a virus and I didn't have them backed up. They were pictures of the aftermath up I-44 from Chickasha, OK going northeast. The best pic I had was the grass that was embedded in the K-rail on the turnpike. The tornado literally ripped the grass up, roots and all about 3/4 mile wide crossing the turnpike, heading for those poor people in Moore.

I used to live right next to Tinker AFB in Del City.

I am VERY familiar with that monster.
We were headed to Witchita Falls that day. The State Patrol had closed I-35 south of Perry so we detoured over to Hwy 81. We got some good shots of the tornado over by Kingfisher. A good F2, but we couldn't get down to see the big one first hand, so we ended up getting some really good damage photos.

I was told in an email that while that is actually an Iowa tornado that it is not the one that hit the camp. I will look to see if I can find the source that said that but even so it is an awsome picture of a very destructive force.

It's not a Tornado at all it's a "Wall Cloud". This picture has been said to be from so many different towns I don't know what to believe on where it's from; Orchard, Ne is the location I hear from my most reliable source.
Wall clouds don't normally touch the ground though do they??? At least none that I've seen have.................
Normally no, but they can. To your point, tornados usually have rotation and debri and are not white and fluffy. Also everyone from CBS, the weather channel and the local news have said it is a wall cloud as well. This picture has gotten a lot of attention since the disaster at Little Sioux because someone released it saying it was from that storm when clearly it wasn't because there isn't anywhere near morehead next to railroad tracks with elevators two buildings and most notably no hills.
The source I received this from cannot confirm this either, because it was sent to him. The hail photos however are spot on. They were sent to me by a family member who works for the NDOR.
I don't believe that's the storm that hit the boyscout camp either. Why would there be a grain silo there???

When I first looked at the "tornado" picture, I thought it was either: fake (because if you look at the picture, there is no debris flying around, the flag looks relatively still, the trees are still, the grain silo and building are still there with no signs they are about to be sucked up) or not actually a tornado.

Still not sure what it is, but it looks a little fake to me...

Actually if you look at the flag it is blurry in this picture because the flag is moving when the picture was taken. I can see what your saying about the picture maybe being fake because you just don't see anything like this for the most part.
