Mueller possibly out at TE

I read in LJS that Leon Jackson said that these practices have been like the 2 a days back in august. Callahan said that Beck and the rest of the younger players were taking 40 to 50 % of the snaps so they could get in alot of reps before the bowl.

He said that Beck was looking really good and that might have scared some people away. (a off handed remark directed at Freeman i am sure)

This was in the LJS on the 23rd

MUELLER INJURY: Nebraska sophomore Josh Mueller, a tight end from Columbus, injured his knee in Tuesday’s practice and sat out Thursday. But he hasn’t been ruled out of next week’s Alamo Bowl against Michigan. “It’d be disappointing if he missed the game, because we’re counting on him,” Callahan said. “We’re keeping our fingers crossed. We’ll see how he responds to a couple of days off.” Nebraska (7-4) leaves at 10 a.m. today via charter plane for San Antonio. The Huskers won’t practice today, resuming drills Saturday.

Tight end would be a position that we would be very thin at if Josh could not play. I hope that he can because I know him as well and hope that he plays well.
