NBA 2025-26

Bronny "earned" the start last night. Was averaging 2.0 ppg on 26.9% shooting.

He played all of 10 minutes. And those stats got worse.

What a joke.

Sorry, shouldn't have included everyone.

It's not five guys standing still. But it's a lot of 2-3 guys standing still.
There are definitely iso possessions and teams that do it a lot (minnesota, clippers) which is not a fun watch.

90s NBA had a ton of standing around and packed paint. We just dont seem to remember it that way. All that being said, it’s an opinion thing in terms of appeal. I cant tell someone what they enjoy. One thing I really appreciate about the modern NBA is more competitive balance. 7 different champions in the past 7 years.

It's a fast moving game and a long season, and you do see teams (and players) get lazy for stretches, running isolations for their ball-handling scorer while others stand around. But you can't do that forever, and the teams that succeed play team ball, motion offenses, team defense, and have deep benches. Memories of more rugged players playing a more pure brand of basketball that never dreamed of bending the rules, flopping, and slacking off on defense are pretty faulty. You might find a crabby Pistons, Knicks or Bulls old-timer badmouthing the new NBA, but most veterans have no problem giving the new generation its due. What's not to like about OKC or the Nuggets? Even when they beat my team I recognize good basketball.

Wow,.. to say I haven't paid attention to the NBA is honesty beyond approach.

Heard today that Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison was fired. Which is great news. However it happened last week. And I never knew about it. LOL.

Just 12 games into the season (Dallas was 3-9 and currently 4-11).

Read that Dirk Nowitzki finally opened up about it and said "It probably should have happened earlier" and specifically said "last summer".

Hopefully Jason Kidd should finally be next to get fired IMHO.

Because he doesn't make adjustments and doesn't know how to coach X's and O's.

However, Kidd is a nice face for a franchise, and he smiles, is soft spoken, wears reading glasses and a hat backwards. All of the things you want in a head coach to win Championships.

Plus, he is super nice to his players, totally loyal to them, and is good to his assistant coaches that help him, and nice to the front office & owners.

Meanwhile Nico Harrison traded for Anthony Davis who has played 4 games this year out of 15 and is expected to miss 10 more days.

Anthony Davis played just 9 games with Dallas last year while missing 24 games (out of 33 games).

In total, the Superstar has played only 13 games since the trade, while missing 35 games for 3 different injuries with Dallas.

I also remember some ESPN media personalities praising Nico for getting Anthony Davis, saying he was better than Luka, and also giving Nico credit for getting the top pick in the draft. Like he earned it lol. That was Perkins and Stephen A. Smith.

I am sorry, but the draft was rigged. Nico is fired for being a dumb-dumb, and potentially setting the franchise back several years to come. And that's all you need to know.

This is what @admo is taking about. You can still like the NBA, @Guy Chamberlin, but the game, and the application of the rules, is simply not the same as it was in the 70s/80s/90s. It might be entertaining, but this junk and the flopping etc turned me off of it also.

LMBO !!!

These players are so good, you don't question it. David Stern & Adam Silver have made sure of it. It's not basketball, it's Entertainment and Money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for everyone.
