Nebraska boys HS state basketball

Westside beats Benson for a massive upset. That takes the 3 favorites, Benson, Central and South out.

Class A is always good to watch. The biggest difference with them is the type of defense that is played. No other class plays that level of defense.
I will respectfully beg to differ on this. I only know of maybe a couple class A schools that actually play defense. However, I will say that it more depends on the school rather than the class in which they play to determine who plays D. I'm a little biased here, but I have yet to see a team in the state that plays as good of man to man defense as Falls City High. They're a little undersized, but they have the athleticism to play against bigger bodies. They held Lincoln Christian as a team to 36 and Logan Power, who had been averaging 23 ppg, to 11.
I have coached in Class A in Omaha for many years. This is so out of touch it isn't funny. Best athletes at the A level, and a commitment to defense is very prevalent. Many scores in the 50s and 40s this year. Many surprised on Benson going down, Westside is a great team. Been saying all year that when they learned how to play together with their new pieces (read: Hermann) they were best in the state this year. We will see if Woodard has another title in him.

Going to be a great game.

Very surprised Elkhorn South lost to Skutt. Closest thing to a lock I saw all year.

I like that Nebraska has all of the games for all of the classes in one city.

Moved to Kansas and the largest class state is in Wichita, next largest is in Topeka , etc - I don't think it moves the meter like Nebraska's does.
