Nebraska's injuries over the past few years.

Will there be a point where we are going to have to stop and take a look at our training department?? Maybe somebody is not doing a good enough job of keeping these players healthy?? Maybe not teaching and enforcing proper stretches. I don't remember having this many injuries in the past.

I'm not sure if there are actually more injuries now, or if its just that the more prominent players may be injury prone.

The training department doesn't instruct a player how to properly drop a tv on one's leg, as far as I know.

I really don't know how you can train in a way that protects you against an injury in the arch of your foot. I don't think you can train your knee to survive having it turned sideways.

I think the more likely cause of the injuries is just that everyone on every team is so big and fast now. Kind of like Slauson's injury - if you get caught with an arm/foot/whatever in an awkward position it could get torn up in an instant.

I was think that maybe the players are not at healthy weights.

Trust me, almost every D1 lineman is at an unhealthy weight.

I've thought the same thing.

naw, it is just a more athletic game now, faster, bigger guys flying around on the field, not much we can do to prevent these things.

I think it just means that our guys are bigger, stronger, faster, and playing with more heart recently.

I love the view from behind my rose-colored glasses, by the way.

Cody Glenn?? Steve Octavian??

I'd have to agree...I really think NU is doing everything they can to get guys stretched out and conditioned for the most part...the facilities are definitely there...hits and collisions are just going to happen and create injuries, unfortunately. Every team is in the same boat.
