Nebrasketball vs Iowa

I like hoiberg, but the players we are trying to win with isn’t going to get it done. Gary and Williams and that is all that are power 4 caliber. Keep hoiberg. Redirect any NIL money to football and just let the basketball team exist. That is about all it has done for eternity anyways.

i think being able to coach guys up would be a good thing to have at the head coaching position.

Hoiberg can coach. Guys get better in his program. System can work. We need to pay for better players. Whole SEC used to be garbage in bball. They have put a boatload of money in it and now they can play. We either need to invest at a high level to bring in elite talent or put those resources to better use elsewhere.

When we get teams in rotation and the ball hits anybody’s hands but Williams and Gary, we have to reset our offense at the top or watch a brick from whoever is not comfortable shooting an open jump shot. Disappointing to waste Williams bc he can ball.

I don't know, man. In today's NCAA maybe we can just blame the fans for not paying enough (regardless of sport). If that's gonna be the case, I'd prefer they just raise the ticket and memorabilia prices to the max (whatever that is) and not beg me for tips.

Not trying to point the finger at you. That line just struck a nerve.

No. I get it. It is frustrating. It is hard to be highly competitive in multiple sports without pumping a lot of money into it. Spend 10 millions to buy out a coaches contract or pay that money to bring in better players.  I don’t pay a dime besides part of a YouTube tv subscription.

I also try not to ask to fire the coach when a team that has been bad forever has a bad season. I watch it and hope for the best. If it doesn’t happen it is on to the next season. Track team had some pretty good high jumpers.

We sell out games when there’s a chance to make the ncaa tournament.  If I recall we were “in” on several good players last year.  They didn’t choose NU.  That may have been money, but I think it’s more than that.

Mast is back next year.  I like the guy, but he’s slow.  Seeing a lot of “next year is going to be better” stuff.  Based upon what?  The previous 6 years.

On to year 7.  You take out last year and Hoiberg’s record is horrendous.  It’s bad even with last year.

so....no B1G tourny.  no march madness.   do we make this new crown tourny thing?  or the NIT?   one last chance to choke again this year

Hoiberg said we would play in a tournament. I would think we’d be in line for an NIT invite.
