Nebrasketball vs USC

By team issue…do you mean worster and the turd in his pocket?  😆
Wait until next yr.,  I was not impressed with our portal pickups.  Morgan & Berke were what I thought, ok but not great.  Essegian has been a good suprise.  Griffin is young.  The rest is garbage, including. Ulis.

Fred is going to have to go back to the drawing board with his recruiting.  Last year we got killed because of a lack of size & rebounding so this year he went out and got size, but there is a serious lack of skill & we still get out rebounded by teams that hustle.

Berke is the same age as Griffiths.

I'd be surprised if Gavin comes back.  He doesn't seem to understand the defensive concepts that Nebraska is trying to implement so he's getting no PT.

I see a TON of potential with Berke, he needs to go back home for a couple of weeks when school ends, then come back & spend all summer working on his consistency.

Not sure what the solution is, but I don't get paid $4M to figure it out.  Fred does.

We have two pint guards that combined for 4 points. Those 4 came from the one that didn’t start.

We have a 7’1” center that is scared to try to score. He had zero points. He also only had 4 rebounds. Zero blocked shots. Not sure what he contributes at this point.

If Fred doesn't make the BTT you have to think he will be gone.
Boy I'd hope not. In the portal transfer NIL wild west era, I'd be remiss to ditch any coach that had NU basketball in the NCAA's just last season.  There is no "building" anymore in basketball. Unless you can bring in a bigger "name," coach, I'd think the move would be to stick with Hoiberg and give him a level of NIL allowance commissure with the level of success your like your basketball program to perform at.

Neither point guard can shoot from 3 so there is no reason to guard them until they get into the lane.

Meah can't shoot from outside 3' - even in warmups.

My problem with Meah is that, so often when he gets the ball right under the basket, he doesn't even think about putting it back up.  He's always looking to dish it back out.  At 7'1", most of the time he's the tallest guy there.  Go up strong and, if you don't make the shot, maybe you get fouled.  But, he doesn't even try.  Last night he played 12 minutes and didn't even attempt one FG.

But stick with him why?

What has he shown, while at NU, that sticking with him is the best idea?  Especially if he doesn't even make the BTT tourney.
