New field turf for 2013

I think this is what has been holding us back all of these years. That last turf was put in under Peterson and we have been cursed ever since. This new turf will usher in a new era of Husker dominance. Either that or it will just be some new turf.
Before I got to your last sentence, I thought to myself "either that or it will just be some new turf". Then I read it. Spooky.
by psychosematic, you mean........you can start a fire.........with your thots?

Brain control beats mind control any day of the week because the brain controls the mind.

I'm thrilled we are getting a new turf because the old one was really starting to show its age, but I'm on the fence about using the same design. The multi-colored turf was ok, but I think a more solid green color just looks better.

Still think every football stadium in America should be natural grass
Why do you feel that way?

Pros outweigh any cons:

  • Maintenance-free
  • Reduces injury - NOT TRUE
  • More consistent playing surface, especially in inclement weather - You know Lambeau Field, Mile High Stadium, Philly Eagles, Owen Field (OU), Heinz Field (Steelers), etc. all natural grass
dang it. I hope natural grass replacement instead of fake and crappy smelly "turf"

borrowed Apocalypse Now

Natural grass, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.

I love the smell of fresh grass in the morning, stains and soft surface. The smell, you know that natural odor......smelled like

[sniffing, pondering]

VICTORY.......

HaHa. Great minds think alike.

I also haven't cared for the alternating green colors. To me it screams "artificial turf",
It's not like any field with artificial turf is fooling anyone anyway. Might as well embrace it.

It fooled the Iowa State cheerleaders long enough to catch some of them grazing on it..

I always thought it was the alternatin' colors holding us back..and making our linemen forget the snap count.

Hmmmm. I will take time to ponder this. Maybe we need to start a petition.

I don't care what kind of turf it is, as long as it turns our guys into genetically engineered super soldiers...
