No College Game Day?

It's too bad that UCLA vs Nebraska isn't slated for a later time. I was really hoping that Nebraska would be host to College Game Day this week. I wonder what it will take for College Game Day to be at a Nebraska game? I have a feeling if when Nebraska plays at Michigan, if both are undefeated for the game, ESPN will be there for that one.
Hopefully, when Fox Sports 1 gets in stride, their College Football show will go to the locations neglected by ESPN, and all this teeth gnashing over GameDay will be rendered moot.

Looking ahead, if northwestern upsets Ohio state, which they have at home and a bye week before, they would most likely come in 8-0 to lincoln. If we beat UCLA we will be 7-0 for that game. Game day would be right here in Lincoln. Absolutely no good games that week at all! I literally couldn't find one that would challenge it. It's pretty crazy to think NW could be a game day game. Michigan most likely won't because they were their for ND and most likely tOSU they will be there if it has big implications
we may still be toiling around #20 or so due to our craptacular schedule, which makes this a good, but not great Top 25 matchup...and possibly not good enough to warrant GameDay blessing us with their presence.
Not likely. After 5 more weeks plenty of other teams ahead of us will have lost and we'll be top 14 or so. Maybe higher.
I dunno. That's a lot of attrition above us...and that's assuming those that stumble above us will automatically go below us--we all know pollsters have put one-loss teams ahead of us in similar situations before. I'm just saying that after stinking it up in big games recently, voters are going to be gunshy until we start being the Top 25 teams we see consistently and don't lay horrendous eggs.

I hope you're right, though, and we are Top 15 or better when we play NW. Just not convinced that's a likely outcome at this point.

Pretty sure

Miami vs. Fla St.

UGA vs. Florida are that week...
"Not so fast my friend!!!" What seems like a good game now might not be the case during week 10. First off UGA and FL are both 1 loss teams. FL will lose at LSU. A 5-2 FL team is not that attractive. On the other hand, FSU loses at Clemson, and Miami is so overrated they will most likely drop 1 or 2 before them. Game day is about timing. If us and NW are both undefeated, game day will be here. And the two games you listed were the only decent games at all.

Undefeated NW vs NU is still a long shot but not completely off base. I think there is enough of emotion to hype up on tv to make that work. Both teams have traded wins against one another at their opponents home stadium. Being undefeated and back in Lincoln would be a great storyline for this budding rivalry to entice a Gameday appearance.

Otherwise what would it take to get them here? We would need to win the Big Ten this year or at least a BCS game so they have enough high profile material to work with. And be undefeated when an undefeated Michigan comes to Lincoln next year.

B1G Title + BCS Berth + Undefeated Record + Undefeated Visiting Wolverines = Gameday

NU doesn't play Michigan next year. The schedules are switched to the East/West format when Rutgers and Maryland enter the conference.
Sorry force of habit. Brain still trying to comprehend Maryland as a "conference foe". Yes you ar correct. Sadly Im not sure an undefeated Wisconsin v Nebraska would have the appeal. Im gonna miss playing Michigan regularly

I hope Lincoln is the next location where Corso says, "ahh f#*k it!!!"again. That was priceless last year

The only problem with this is that we're in the bottom part of the Top 25 (AP)--even if we beat UCLA (which I believe we will) and both NU and Northwestern go undefeated, Northwestern is likely going to be at or very close to being a Top 10 team, where we may still be toiling around #20 or so due to our craptacular schedule, which makes this a good, but not great Top 25 matchup...and possibly not good enough to warrant GameDay blessing us with their presence.

Hopefully I'm wrong (save for the NU beating UCLA bit)...
We beat UCLA and were 15 or 16 come Monday.

AP doesnt like looking us in the face the day after. Were like a bad one night stand to them. They gave us a #5 once and we fell asleep once the AP got us back to its studio apartment. The coaches dont mind drunk texting us once in a while though.

Too lazy to see if anyone else suggested this: Northwestern/Nebraska.

If Nebraska Wins out, they will be top 10.

Northwestern has a tough schedule.. but if they somehow beat Ohio St, Wisconsin.... Never know.. they would be 2 top 10 teams.

NOV 2-- possible matchups that ruin Gameday for us:

Miami/Florida State

Michigan @ Mich St

Georgia @ Florida
