Non-Scott Frost Coaching Options

Still, gotta admit that would be a tough sell:   "give me 20 years and I will deliver you a national championship."
At this point I'd probably take that.  Considering the last 20 years were basically:

Good thing we didn't claim Osborne hit his ceiling after 7 years......or even 10.....or even 20....

Well it was 20 years for 3, sooo
But there was a helluva lot of winning and a few almost nattys before he made it over the hump.  Pretty disingenuous to compare TOs time before actually winning that first natty to anyone we’ve had since. There is absolutely no comparison.

Osborne also took over a two time national championship team.

The point is it could be equally incorrect to claim at coach in the early or even middle of their career has hit their "ceiling".

That is true. Is somebody saying that is/was the case with any of our current/former coaches?

While past/current results may be highly indicative of future results, hitting some “ceiling” really isn’t the problem with Frost. The problem is a complete failure to show any improvement whatsoever while at Nebraska. The seeming ceiling he experienced at UCF may just have been due to unique circumstances. The important thing here is that there has not been even the slightest hint that there is any higher level forthcoming on any timeline.
