NU Cancelling Oklahoma Game?

Wow just catching up on this story.  How pathetic of our AD and Coach if this story is legit, and how sad for our proud fan base. Outside of some kind of scandal involving recruiting or the coaching staff, I cannot think of much worst off-season PR than something like this.

No, I was trying to lighten the mood on a Friday. Relax. Sandusky retired from coaching in 1999, scandal came out a decade later. 

 
The logic that says Frost and Moos are ducking Oklahoma is on par with the kicked-by-a-donkey level thinking that won't let Run The Ball Guy just go away. 

You honestly think that a team that gets stomped, routinely, by Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Northwestern, Indiana, Purdue, Colorado, Troy, Northern Illinois, TROY (!) is afraid of playing one of the best programs of the playoff era because they think they are going to lose?

He could have modified things to any current talent at the time and tried to be competitive while recruiting his guys. He chose to not to do that, and throw current players under the bus, complaining about the state of things and the culture.  That was his choice, right or wrong. A lesson for his guys, and himself, is that you have to deal with the consequences of your actions, not try to skirt obstacles in front of you like scary football teams.

There are thoughts flying around this is about another home game and money for the AD and the local economy, but they had to have known this would come off. If they didn't then none of them belong in a major college athletic program.  One small boost won't save the AD, and these businesses while they would benefit will have been surviving for 20+ months without a Husker game with fans already.

I think when they come out with a statement it’ll be we found such & such as a replacement. The rumors are not rumors. They are just trying to finalize a deal.
