Agreed. Our offense and special teams were actually good Saturday--yeah, Lucky couldn't get squat, but Cody Glenn looked good, and our passing game was excellent. If we could have peeled one or two of those nine out of the box early on, we would have been able to run the ball...which we did a little bit after we passed extremely well against them.I think the offense has definitely progressed a lot more than the defense in the last 4 years.
That's all I'm going to say about that.
And don't lump the defensive secondary w/the rest of the defense (and Doc Oct)--they did an excellent job against the USC receivers, and didn't have problems until they spent the better half of the evening compensating for our poor front seven.
Callahan can stay--he and Watson are the real deal on offense. Cosgrove on defense, though...I'd donate money to the University to buy out his contract and get a real defensive coordinator in here.
