*** Official Cincinnati Game Thread ***

DR wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire tonight. Hopefully, everybody improves in the next couple of weeks.

I certainly have concerns.
Me too for sure but to be fair cinci could end up being a good team. They have been trending in the right direction and have some really good players

Satterfield bailed us out with his trademark play calling. Their QB was gashing us and he decided to make him throw a long one. That is what we would have done.
First: The W cures all ills.
Second: That was a weird call. A QB who is a better runner than passer and an offense with Jr. varsity receivers and he thinks that play is gonna work?
Satterfield is 3-9 and 5-7. I'm thinkin this is his final season with the Bearcats.

Twice on that final drive we were covering 2 w/1 into the boundary, which is where they were consistently throwing the ball. The first time was an east completion and the second he went for the hero ball to the #1 receiver on the wide side and got picked. Thanks for that!

Teams are noticeably improved, but the return teams need to improve. Positives and a few head scratching moments, but I'll take the W.

This game had the look and feel of the Northwestern game in Ireland. Love that we actually finished it and got the win. Yes the team was sloppy but having the first game be on a Thursday and against a power 5 team will do that. Definitely need to clean things up but we proved we can win when we aren't at our best and proved we can win the close one.
