Good thing we have plenty of recovery time...

Going into the game I felt the zebras would swallow their whistles as much as possible and "let them play".

An 8pm game that doesn't get going until about 820pm, can you imagine if both teams committed 12 penalties each? Game would've ended at 230am.

And I don't recall seeing any holding penalties or PI. Which is amazing.
Of course Hartzog was end of game stuff and legit. Got to call that one.

Next week and moving forward we'll see the holding calls and PI's.

I agree- I saw several that could have been called on both teams. One potential targeting that didn't even get a review. I sure didn't mind just seeing them play.

It ain’t the best but it also only gave up 17 points. 🤷‍♂️
17 and in range for 20 and OT. Or pushing for 24.

But I do agree with you.

To be honest I hated the Huskers decision to go for it on 4th down. For a few reasons.

It's the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. Too soon.

It's around mid-field and the risk of failing could cost you points.

Which it did. It gave Cincy a shorter field to get into FG range (points) but they ended up score 7 quite easily.

Had he punted, it would have made sense to pin them around the 10 yard line.

You have a punter, use him and play field position. I am guessing here that is what Iowa, Minnesota, NW all do in that spot during an opening drive. Which works out for them in the long run over the game. In that case, Cincy might have only scored 10 pts.
