Hey everyone--can someone give me an abbreviated recap? I've been busy dodging tornadoes down here in Dallas-Ft. Worth this evening, and our TV is still out. :-|

Stay safe, was watching the chasers early on TVN. Prayers to all those affected down there with the damage.

Thanks--we came out relatively unscathed, but we know of folks that weren't so lucky that are less than a mile from us.

These tornadoes are proof that God hates Texass. I need to get out of this state.

Each team scored on first possesion. Our second possession we were driving, TA got facemasked (no penalty) and fumbled. They scored 4 plays later. We were 3 and out, they scored 4 plays later. 21 - 7. We scored on two 70+ yard drives to tie it up. Nate Gerry got butt raped by the worst ejection call of the century. We intercepted next play. End of half.

Huskers sticking to power run game with Cross and Ozigbo for the most part. Huskers moving the ball pretty well. Overcame a fumble by Armstrong deep in UCLA territory. UCLA has burned Nebraska on some long pass plays. Game is tied at 21. Gerry was thrown out of the game for a textbook, open-field tackle that the refs called "targeting," and it will likely be the poster-child for an offseason movement to change the rule to at least eliminate the ejection aspect of the penalty, particularly for the first offense in a game.

Power running form NU. Then we go pass happy (Reilly drops great throw), board melts down. We go power running again and tie. Nate gets ejected on the worst targeting BS call EVER. I mean EVER. Hopefully this is the future O we run. PA, counters and power run game.

D started iffy, but settled down. Reeves our and possibly MRI.

Thanks. Saw this and what Saunders posted--that is a bulls*** call, and coaches should have recourse to get them overturned and/or have officials held accountable for BS calls.

I am just utterly amazed that refs mess up this bad, with reviews, what the heck they review for, has anyone ever seen a player not get ejected?

Actually yes, today a call got overturned in the Va Tech game.

So that means there is at least one set of refs that have the balls enough to admit they were wrong.

I never liked pelini's antics but Mike Riley's lack of emotion is really suspect. He must have been neutered by Eichorst before coming to Nebraska. No other explanation for the lack of balls on this coaching staff. I guess getting neutered to get salaries is not bad for these coaches. I feel bad for Gerry. That should have been a top ten play and not an ejection. The referee who called that is an idiot.

This is just a flat out stupid part of the post. Plain and simple.

The refs inserted themselves into the game in the worst possible way!
