*******OFFICIAL MISSOURI GAME THREAD********

Do you guys think we can still get top notch recruts when were only pumpin out 6-6 seasons. Most of us on here remember the 90s but alot of younger people dont know who coach osborne is. So how can we even get top recruts being 1 a mediocer team in there eyes, and 2 being in nebraska where there isnt much to do.

Yes its possible, look at Mizzou, look at Kansas, look at Vandy....I could keep going on with the list of schools that werent anywhere a few years ago. You need to be a smart recruiter and get kids that want to succeed. All it takes is a couple lucky recruits to make a program. From there you maintain. We can do that its going to take time.

Did anyone notice when Chris Spielman mentioned that Walk-On's are nice to have but you can't start 5 of them. Wow he gets it yet we through 2 of them out there on defense to cover a Freaking All American future NFL TE. Awesome.
gee, your right, i mean stew stucked, tomich sucked, every walk sucked, how about this, shut the hell up.

I cant believe Im seeing so many people blame the coaches here.
Sorry, but they are the only ones to blame for the ticky tack, stupid, lack of concentration penalties we picked up this half...
Correct. The coaches are responsible for those mental errors. That's all coaching. The coaching isn't very good. I won't give this crew four years.
Give me a f-ing break! 5 games into the season and it's all over for this coaching staff huh? This is why we are in the mess we are in now. Because Pedersen decided to fire a 9-3 coach and bring in moron who was here long enough to really f*&k things up and then we have to bring in another coach to try and fix things. A revolving door is the worst thing you can do to a program and if you support that you need your head examined.

trust me, we have absolutley no talent......its not the coaching, its the talent...

If we get outclassed that's one thing. But not having the discipline to avoid stupid penalties falls on the coaching staff. We can still beat Iowa St., Baylor, KSU with the talent we have, but if the coaching staff doesn't instill some discipline, we could lose any of those games.

You see that flying over your head that was my point, I think you missed it.

So are you comparing the 2 walk on defensives guys that were getting burnt all night to 2 walk ons that were actually good? Maybe you were but I wasn't. Whatever though you take the 8 man player from western Nebraska give me a blue chipper everyday of the week. Which if you would have heard him was his point. Walk-ons are fine and a few will be good but you can't play so many of them against more talented players and expect to win. I'm sorry but this isn't the old days.
