*******OFFICIAL MISSOURI GAME THREAD********

I cant believe Im seeing so many people blame the coaches here.
Sorry, but they are the only ones to blame for the ticky tack, stupid, lack of concentration penalties we picked up this half...
Correct. The coaches are responsible for those mental errors. That's all coaching. The coaching isn't very good. I won't give this crew four years.
Give me a f-ing break! 5 games into the season and it's all over for this coaching staff huh? This is why we are in the mess we are in now. Because Pedersen decided to fire a 9-3 coach and bring in moron who was here long enough to really f*&k things up and then we have to bring in another coach to try and fix things. A revolving door is the worst thing you can do to a program and if you support that you need your head examined.
Agreed Iowan. I've been criticizing the coaches for not having the team disciplined tonight, and I still think they deserve it, but this staff can still do some great things if we're patient.

This is still the previous staff for the most part. I am not so sure that people won't be calling for the completion of getting rid of the old staff and firing Watson with what this offense has produced on the ground today.

Well...I am going to go commit suicide and be done with it...Goodnight all! I can't take anymore.
Don't do it Trucker we need you.

I was in the stands for that '78 game and this one hurts just as much. Lets not forget we were good enough to not get beat in Lincoln by the Tigers for 30 years. Things will turn around when the players are upgraded. Just don't forget how good we were and for how long. In other words be thankful.

The penalties is a huge problem and I agree with that, but my no means am I ready to give up on these coaches.

Wacko? All I said is that I won't give this staff four years. They really do need to produce. Devaney did right away.

One thing I think we'll like about Bo is that he'll come out and take responsibility. I'm sure he'll be the first to admit that he didn't have these guys ready tonight. BC never seemed to take ownership of any of the problems, only the successes.

I am not ready to give up on this staff. I didn't say any such thing. They need to get this turned around pretty quickly. Not in four years. Very soon!

another broken tackle for a first down..........

i think we need to look at our strength and conditioning too, thats a big part of success and we dont have the great strength program we used to have
S & C was a huge part of the Oz years. This is an intregal part of the program that needs to be rebuilt.

Well, it looks like it won't be a 70 hung on us....thank God!!
No you should know that Pinkel has to much respect to do that to us. When a team is behind there is no since in rubbing dirt in there face. What I am trying to figure out is why everyone is blaming the coaches on this loss. This is Bo's first year and he is haveing to fix everything Callhan has screwed up over the last few years. I predicted going into the season are losses would be to(VT, MU, TT, OU, and possibly Kansas) So as long as we beat ISU, Baylor, Colorado, and KSU I will be happy. I still think we have a shot of atleast being bowl contenders but this is a rebuilding year so you cant expect to much. I still have faith that Bo will turn this program around he just needs to get some good recruits in over the off season. We lost this game because MU is better then us this year and so are alot of other teams. Penaltys didnt help but its not the only reason why we lost this game and neither is the coaches. Just look at this as a learning experice for the team they stayed with it till the end and when they look back at the game films they will know what they need to work on before faceing TT. I'm not saying we will win but I'm hopeing they will atleast improve and not get beat by 35 points.

I can't expect them to turn the whole thing around this year, or even next year, because there are talent gaps that just can't be filled in that quickly.

What I do expect to be turned around in a shorter time frame are discipline and offensive play calling...
