Our next QB

Even more excited about the offensive line recruits we're getting to play in front of him. Getting some good protection will make a huge difference in raising the chances that he can adjust to the next level.

I found some great video of Blaine Gabbert from St. Louis ... this kid is a giant and there is more than 30 minutes of video from his last high school game (Parkway West) at http://www.hsgametime.com/stlouis/videopage.html?nvid=175399

Tons of video of him in action plus an interview.

Honestly, this kid is so big he looks like he is playing with the middle school team.

GO HUSKERS!!

ya he is a GIANT!! :nutz

Gabberts femur btw

I have watched this kid play ... he is in a totally different class from anythign else I have ever seen.
Then hopefully he starts to show that in his games this fall, it sounds like he had been stinking up the place.

Could you please elaborate on how he's been stinking up the place? I think we already have enough of that here now without bringing more wood in for the fire. How or what has he been doing to be considered stinking up the place?
Easy, bud. Check out some of the threads about him and his completion stats so far. I think last game was better for him, but he has yet to play like a superstar. He was benched in favor of his little bro. It's great to have a rifle for an arm and be able to run like a deer, but it'd be nice if he dominates in high school games, because some are ready to hand him the reigns to the offense for as soon as next year.

Sorry, I wasn't insinuating anything. I just choose not to follow incoming recruits until they actually sign on the dotted line. I haven't read anything about him struggling primarily because I haven't followed him. I was just simply asking what kind of struggles he's seeing. I didn't mean any offense by it. I don't think the reigns are his next season. From my sources, they all believe Witt will be the starter next year and some think he's the real backup this season.

Heard Witt was great :clap

I think it was only one.

I don't think he looked to great on that video. But i can't say i blame him with the offensive line he had in front of him. He had to honestly hike the ball and sprint away from the line. And when he did throw the ball he didn't have much time to set his feet so im hoping that was the reason he over threw the ball and didn't make great decisions. I imagine nebraska can mold him a little and he will live up to his hype. GO HUSKERS!!!

I'm excited about the QB situation next year. Witt is an incredible prospect, Ganz is a good player, and Lee was a stud in Juco. With Gabbert coming in, this position battle should be good one to watch.

I think, when all is said and done, Witt will be the man. But who really knows I guess.

Let's not forget Witt was having a bad senior year too, and some here were even talking about pulling his scholly (which would have been ridiculous, but the assertion was made).

All IK is Coach Billy C is gonna hav a tough time watching all our QBs next year compete for the starting job..he wont know which one to pick :bang

I believe that Lee will be the starter next year. Ganz only has one year left after this one and if he starts, NU will be in the same scenario as they are now. A QB with one year left. We need a QB that can start for more than 2 years.
