OWH: Sellout Streak Perspective

I'm curious what the budget is for this advertising campaign?? How about just keeping it, in lieu of donations for outstanding season tickets.

Not sure who's doing the counting because Huskers.com is showing me about 550 seats still available.

A lot of them are single seats so I'm sure those aren't easy to sell, especially at a $2500 donation.

Ohio State reducing capacity - though adding premium seating. Penn State likely reducing capacity in favor of extra room.

“Beaver Stadium will get a little bit smaller,” said Barbour. “As you look at doing a wider seat and a longer tread, there's no way not to get smaller. I don't think it will be significant, but this seems to be the direction folks are going.”

Though she couldn't be specific about a potential number, Barbour did note that she anticipates Beaver Stadium's capacity remaining at more than 100,000.

Pointing to Ohio State’s recent announcement that its famed Horseshoe would be adding premium seating while reducing overall capacity by roughly 2,600 seats. It’s $42 million project is expected to be completed through the next four years, and Barbour echoed Ohio State AD Gene Smith’s remarks that the capacity race has come to an end.

“It's about driving value for our fans, and I would have to absolutely concur with that,” said Barbour.

I'm certain they're going to reduce stadium capacity in the coming years. That addition on top of East Stadium looks nice (and the academic facility inside is fantastic) but it won't be long before we can't sustain 89,000 people in that stadium.

Kind of surprised they haven't done more contraction like they did in North Stadium a year or so ago.
