I think its possible with the way they went all in on this season they were planning to part ways with Franklin if they didn't win big before the year even started. I never thought they'd fire him this early. Figured they'd at least let him try against OSU but maybe with Allar out they decided the season is lost at this point. Pretty crazy to go from CFB semifinal, preseason #2 to fired before the halfway point in the season.

It strikes me as a bit odd they did him dirty this early. Without their QB they are likely to get drubbed in some upcoming games. Maybe see if he could turn it around? I don’t know. I’ve never thought Penn State was all that good of a program to be honest. The scandal is a historical black eye too. Just a few weeks ago they were in overtime with a top team in the country. Not sure I have seen a shorter faster demise. Thar d-coordinator who moved over from OSU must be going WTH?!
