Phil Steele says Nebraska will be #17 heading into the season

Randle's asterisk is his injury. "Worst" is a label that may be fair based solely on his play, but he has a more than legitimate excuse for that play. He's been Martinez circa the latter half of 2010 for pretty much his whole career.

Guys like that, from whom we want more production but aren't getting it because of injury, should get a pass in the court of public opinion.
I can agree with this.

I don't understand bumping an old thread to mock someone's six-month-old hopes about a player's performance?

Carlfense pulls the "I told you so" card. Kudos.
You think this is bad . . . wait until my Pelini prediction becomes undeniable.

What was the prediction? I'm lazy and don't want to scroll back.
Short version: what we've seen so far in the Pelini era is roughly as good as we can expect. We'll probably never be terrible . . . but we'll also never be great.
Could be a fair assessment. I hope you are wrong, though.
Me too.
Ditto. I distinctly remember Bo said "We are right now, we can beat anybody" and "Nebraska is back and we're here to stay" during 2009 Holiday bowl post game ceremony in national TV.

We can only blame ourselves for not proving him correct in 2010.

Will you define terrible and great for us?
Terrible: 5 wins or less.

Great: Winning conference championship and/or a major bowl game. (Already showing the declining standards I guess . . . I can't even really make myself hope for a national championship run.)
