I think one could argue that the Democrats moved right when Clinton was in office with a lot of his policies around drugs & police, but the Democrats took a sharp left turn and jammed their foot to the floor around 2012, and have grown exponentially more radical since then.
Republicans have a small faction of Q-Anon types that have strange beliefs, most of which are mostly harmless. The Democratic party has made their political radicals mainstream.

What are your examples of Democratic "radicalism?"
