Nobody has been permanently banned recently. That’s pretty rare; but, I am a fan of suspensions. Some longer than others depending on the severity or repetition of the behavior. I don’t generally like to air another poster’s dirty laundry though.

P&R has always been a bit of a s#!t show. Some people who seem capable of genuine and reasonable sports discussions will abandon all pretense in P&R. I get that it is the somewhat natural response for some people given how personal P&R conversations can be but… yikes.

I don’t like punishing people for losing their cool in P&R but seem to keep it chill in other sub forums, but it has to happen sometimes. One option we’ve been discussing recently is to just remove the temptation for those people by putting them into a custom user segment on the site that can’t access the P&R sub forum. This would be an option for those repeat offenders that can’t seem to figure it out but are good contributors elsewhere.

I’ve got an idea (and hear me out @Guy Chamberlin) how about we ban Notre Dame Joe? Not because he’s broken board rules or because nobody should be subjected to his brain disease (although this point is debatable) or because we disagree with him but simply because we can and it would royally piss him off. Wouldn’t it be fun to know that somewhere in South Bend or wherever that a Trump c$%k slurper was going out of his mind with rage.  :lol:
