In addition to the Ignore function, you might also want to use the Scroll function. 

Or you know, avoid the Politics and Religion Forum, specifically designed for this sort of thing. 

I know you're kinda kidding, but it's honestly not a "me" problem.

I was only sort of kidding. I know you guys will do what you want to do and I’m not going to tell you what to do. But I did ask nicely and it sure wouldn’t bother me if everyone did quit replying to him.

It really is an everyone who keeps replying to him problem. It's abundantly clear at this point that he isn't interested in forming new opinions or even having honest discussions. It's like an addict, at some point you need to cut them off unless they can change.

Kind of hard to ignore his bulls#!t when there are literally entire pages of you guys quoting and replying to him.

There was a concerted effort to engage that poster in legit discourse from a Mod despite the obvious evidence of brigading. At some point I stopped swimming upstream against that endorsement and tried to reengage for the good of the board. I understand the frustration.
