Nah, this one has been completely derailed by someone whining about people not enjoying nonsense. Which really has nothing to do with the coaches poll.

So you're saying that no one should care about any poll... including the ones done here because they are not relevant to the championship ?
The only poll that anyone should care about is the Football Playoff Poll. Is that what you're saying ?

There's been a few comments made here... one about fans sense of "entitlement"... which started that part of the discussion.

Fresh take here: I'm a bit surprised at being ranked 38th. I didn't think we'd be ranked, but figured we'd be just on the cusp, about 10-12 spots higher.
I still believe that since TO retired, we've generally had top25 talent. Just seems the combination of talent and coaching/scheme hasn't thoroughly meshed over the past decade.

Ha ha! Yeah, I sort of care. I think it's a lot easier to make a run for a playoff spot if you start out no lower than the mid teens. That said, I don't think we have a playoff caliber team this year. But we could in a couple of years. And when (if) we do, I'd like to see us start high enough in the polls to give us a reasonable shot at getting up into the top four or five by the time the B1G CCG rolls around.
