Rebuilding Year For Fans!

Don't get me wrong, I'll still rearrange my schedule to watch/root for my Huskers whenever they're on TV, or try to make it to a game when I go back home..or spend an inordinate amount of time on this website.

But I'll try as hard as I can not to live vicariously through them.

And look for positives whenever I can..Like if we keep getting out coached/outplayed, I'll say to myself, "maybe at least after this season, we'll get the kind of Coaching staff some of us grew up with".

Go Big (sniff) Red!

:woo

Yeah, The BobFather is coming back from the dead and Monte Kiffin wants a reduction in pay - didn't you hear the news yet?

GBR!!!

Having over four decades being a Husker fanatic it is insulting to have you insinuiate we will go away. It ain't happening bro, we have been through so much but the big thing is we have deep deep ties in the state of Nebraska and it never leaves you. We are addicted for life, the new fans in NU might go away but we're always here to stay. Go Big Red, lets get our boys back in charge and can P and C.

when husker fans turn on each other, the bobfather in heaven sheds a tear and weeps.

i'm just saying.

I think it's interesting that all these big 'fans' haven't even been fans on this board for better than a year. Talk a good game, but only come out of the woodwork when the sh*t hits the fan.

"I've been to this game and that game!" "Back when the Huskers meant something!"

Who cares.

Join up and hate! You were a fan once, here's your chance to belittle at will! Don't worry, you can massacre with ease, boycott everything 'Husker," and once everything is 'back to normal', you will come out smelling like roses and no one will ever doubt your allegiance to the Huskers.

It's so convenient, isn't it?

I am a UNL graduate, grew up in Nebraska during all the great times, cried in the early 80's, celebrated in college in the mid-nineties, and mire in this thing now. And here I am now, and appalled since my friends aren't willing to watch the game with me this week due to what has transpired over the last month, I will go by myself and cheer on the Huskers at a location by myself. That's just how it is.

Maybe NU will never recover. Maybe they'll always be plagued by bad play and bad luck. That's ok. I may be frustrated, but I'll stand by them.

But maybe they will recover. Maybe not this year, maybe not the next. But maybe they will dominate, just start destroying anything around them. Just messing up people, having fun again, making Mark May look stupid as usual, making ESPN have to show Husker highlights against their will, pissing off the rest of the country.

Thank God I'll be able to say....

I stuck with Nebraska...the team...the whole way, no matter what.

What will you be able to say with a clear conscience.
Never knew someone could actually have a Elitist attitude just because they joined a forum before other people. :worship

My point was that all these 'fans' that have signed up recently just start numerous posts of 'firing him' and 'hating that.' Where were they during the off-season? After wins? I'm not saying this is scientific, just my observations. I am not better than anyone on this board.

:worship Sorry Foppa I just discovered the forum back in Sep ;) but I'm not on of the FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!....but I do see changes of some sort in the future as soon as the season is over.

After a few days to cool off from last weekend I'll have to admit I'm still torn. While I had thought Coach Callahan could have things turned around by next season with his all his players in place running his system, the dismantling by Missouri has raised many red flags of doubt. How the heck could Ball St and Missouri appear to be so much more athletic? How could Pinkle look like a seasoned mastermind and outcoach Callahan? When will Coz's last day be?

At 40 I'm not an old codger like some of you. :) But I have seen plenty of good football and what we have seen this season no where resembles that.

Wow. It looks as if the old group of fans needs to graduate. They're bringing this program down. Not to worry, though . . . the true NU fans are waiting for them to go away, to fade into the woodwork. This program is on the edge of great times!

To the Huskers . . . the team, the coaches, the staff . . . we support you, and we have the patience and confidence to let you do the job!!

GO BIG RED!

Dude....seriously....put down the Kool-Aid and slowly back away and no one will get hurt

Well some may have been been like me and never knew about the site untill someone came into the ESPN message boards and gave different husker sites to go to.

I actually am opposite from that. I am here in the offseason and always after wins....but when we lose, I don't bother to come on here anymore because I know all I will see is Fire Fire Fire!!!! LEAVE CALLAHAN ALONE OR ELSE!!!! (Chris Crocker) lol
