Recruiting Concerns

Just the last couple days. Might not be long if I keep screwing stuff up.

Looks like some offers may be going out to some new names. GaTech recruit Antonio Simmons a DE that also was offered to Air Force. Something to keep an eye on. Also maybe his teammate as well.

Current commits by state:

4 - Texas & Florida

3 - Nebraska & Louisiana

2 - Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri & Kansas

1 - Alabama, Georgia, Nevada & Virginia

Other than no Cali guys this year, that's a pretty good mix.

That is a total of 86 so at least one of those names will have to come off the list - Stewart and Guy are strong possibilities.
It is hard to look at the list and not be excited for the future. Especially the sophomore class. A lot of these guys saw decent time and made impacts at points. Young, talented, and already with some experience. Spells good things.

I would say no Ohio guys this yr is interesting (maybe concerning)

Yeah, I probably should have included Ohio too.

But it's cyclical. A couple years ago, people were worried that we couldn't recruit Texas anymore. This year, it's at the top of our list, even losing a couple commits. Last year we had 3 Ohio guys and 5 Cali guys. The year before it was 2 and three. If one of those states drops off for a couple years in a row, then we can start worrying.
