I'm on your side in this argument, but looking at Lee's history it's tough to see how much of a " threat" he can actually be as a runner, even with a solid passing attack to assist him.
Agreed. Some of these responses are comical! Of course Nebraska isn't going to try to run Lee or O'Brien or Gebbia or whatever QB they have back there most of the time!!!! It will be very interesting to see how things play out this season for Lee presumably or who knows at some point O'Brien when the pocket breaks down and/or when opposing teams
blitz Nebraska.
As I've said before line play is still going to be critical especially now with Nebraska's pro style quarterbacks versus the dual threat QB that has been our calling card. No more Tommy/Taylor Martinez like runs/scrambles or designed runs. Even if Riley/Langsdorf somehow throw in some designed QB runs I see them going over as well as our jet sweeps if that.
Personally I think you're going to see these QB's get rid of the ball quickly anyway taking away the need for this offense to rely on their feet as much as it has in the past.
