Probably worse
Absolutely nowhere did I say it's all on the players. In fact, I have made it clear that I don't give a pass to the coaches in many posts in several threads on this topic. The OC is getting paid a lot more than them to put them in position to win games.
Our offense is literally the definition of insanity. But yeah it’s all on the players.![]()
Sad thing is, against UCLA, the first quarter was when they should have had some hope and that's when they played the worst. Late in the game when we were probably going to lose is when they played the best.I think our D plays better if we just give them some hope.
Someone else mentioned it earlier, but my major issue is that we appear to be getting worse every game as the season progresses. That is 100% on these coaches and it is unacceptable.
I can’t believe it’s taken almost 60 pages of comments to answer the very simple question posed by this topic. The answer is yes.

I think Raiola has some issues he needs to work out for sure. But the offensive stats we have are the norm for a Satt offense. So does his play design suck, can he not coach and develop a QB? Idk the answer all I know is Satt sucks everywhere he goes so I am blaming him as his history is not goodI'm perfectly fine if Satterfield is fired or whatever changes can be made on the offensive side of the ball.
However, if the QB is not seeing wide open receivers or, for some reason, is choosing not to throw them the ball, is that really a play calling or play design issue? I don't think so, unless by play design, we are including where the QB is supposed to be looking through progressions and that's why he's not seeing them...which is valid. Still, the issues are his (and Thomas's) to fix. But, I have a hard time just saying, the play calling sucks, when an experienced good QB would be making throws that make the offense move the ball....but ours isn't.
I agree. He already brought in a co-OC last year. Now another consultant. So he obviously has doubts the 2 guys here have the answersSome of you'all are so far in the Fire Satt mindset you can't see the forest from the trees.
Rhule was about as direct as he could be without coming out and saying that Satt was on the hotseat. He just isn't going to make an emotional decision and is bringing in an outside perspective to help make the decision.
Those of us that are in high profile leadership roles understand exactly what is happening here. He is owning the problem, bringing in help to take the emotion out of it, and determining the next steps.
But, you guys keep on going and Fire everyone!!!!
And I know no one will do it, but go watch the entire PC and not just read the hot takes.
I do however have to give Satt some slack on the game plan aspect. If you watch the all 22 film, there are plenty of plays that should have worked. Wide open receivers, missed running lanes, missed blocks, etc.
Eh, I think his game plan flopped as well.. we come out with 3 straight passes to start the game? 2.5 weeks after his presser where he openly says he needs to commit to the run more? We’re playing a team from the pac 12 that hasn’t looked that great run defense wise and we completely abandon the run game from the get go and get pass happy?Smh guys... The defense is not the problem. UCLA had 2 weeks to put together a set of scripted plays. And we still held them to a field goal on that first drive. If your defense only gives up 20 points, and you aren't winning the game, there is only one direction to point.

I think there is a lack of confidence in his room and, to me, he has never had that swagger or energy needed to get his guys juiced up and ready to perform. I'm ready for change but I personally would prefer to see it done after the season, maybe before the bowl game if they can make one and his replacement would be available to be there.
Couldn’t agree more on the bolded. Bend don’t break is constructed with the assumption your offense can do something, even average, it has to be somewhat productive. They don't even look the same. The strange part is they don't have the record that they have had, but I know I don't want to watch the inevitable car crash that is coming.

Please don't take offense to this personally but this is what's wrong with our fan base imo. We look at a team's record and make a lot of assumptions. UCLA has had a great run defense this season and is only allowing 100 yards a game- essentially the same as Nebraska. We have struggled to run the ball. Some would say putting your best foot forward makes sense against a team ranked very good in run defense.Eh, I think his game plan flopped as well.. we come out with 3 straight passes to start the game? 2.5 weeks after his presser where he openly says he needs to commit to the run more?
