Status of Cross?

Any word on if Cross was injured the last part of the game?

He was hobbling a little after a run.. I think it was the 3rd quarter, but I'm not sure. Didn't look like anything major, but they were probably comfortable just riding Ozigbo at that point.

I was also wondering. I wanted him in more in the later parts of the game.

Edit: I forgot to add. I think Cross was instrumental in getting us the Michigan State and UCLA wins. By using him, he changed the dynamics of the offense and gave it a new personality.

Cross set the tone for the running game. I was afraid that losing Reeves at Center was going to hurt the running game, but no drop off noted. Everybody ran tough, and there were a lot of different people who got a chance to run with the ball.

Tonight was a good game for the Huskers and the fan base. So glad Imani had the game he had tonight. Such a great kid.

I was hard on Imani for being too limited in what he can do in an offense. He showed that he can have a positive impact on an offense. Good for him, and I was wrong.

From what we've seen of Newby this year, he isn't our best back. He might be done. I'd much rather see Ozigbo out there.

Might depend on his pro day. He could be a a good free agent pick up after the draft.

Glad he had a decent showing at the end of his career...he stayed with it and proved his loyalty to the Huskers!

Cross's future in the NFL will depend if he can play on special teams. Backup RB's and the last guys on the roster have to be able to contribute on special teams. I don't know if he has done much special teams coverage at NU, but he will need to do that in the NFL to make a squad.
