Steamed Broccoli

Spartness

There is a very good Greek restaurant I go to in Omaha, but I am on a low-simple carb diet and avoid eating potatoes. As an alternative, instead of the restaurant offering those wonderful Greek green beans everyday of the week (they only serve it once a week), the only option I have is steamed broccoli.

My question is -- and I'm not talking about cooking it in a stir fry or eating it as a salad, or eating cream of broccoli soup -- does anyone actually like steamed brocolli? I can't stand it and I can't imagine hardly anybody eating it. Blah!!!!!! Why would a restaurant serve something so terrible? <_<

I'm curious if anybody on this board actually enjoys eating that grass-tasting veggie. I want a poll so I can go to the owners and tell him the results and get them to start serving the Greek green beans everyday. Thanks

Broccoli is gross. By the way, this is my 700th post. I am now a Blackshirt on this board. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :horns2

i heart broccoli but usually not steamed...steamed veggies take me back to my diaper rash days and we just dont want to go there

Love it! Add some butter and seasoning and it's great! My husband and I decided it must be something that you like when you're older! Outback has the best!

I'll order it raw next time with ranch dressing. Or perhaps butter would help. Oh well. Don't you just love talking about these really important subjects?
