sure looked like a touchdown to me

I feel like we are getting lucky in this game rather than playing really well. Some things are good, but I still feel like luck is on our side today so far.

One touchdown catch was in fact a TD. No disputing that. The one to Blythe was questionable. It was hard to tell if his foot was in bounds our if he was straddling the line.

I'd say give the cyclones that one, though Blithe pushed off again to get a first down earlier in that drive. Also the Meyer QB sneak for a TD in the first half was bogus since he only scored because Hicks pushed him into the endzone.

The one angle definately showed that Blythe's foot was on the line. That burned McCarney's challenge otherwise he would have had it to challenge the blown TD call and would have won it. That's part of the game. NU sure got some calls tonight.

But what I don't understand is when the officials make their own decisions to use instant replay. This time they didn't and ISU got screwed on that TD!

The officials did blow the call and are still not proficient at using the replay themselves. Oh well....

I don't think the officials can use the replay unless notified by the replay official. As far as I know, the only time they can initiate a replay is for time on the clock or ball placement. I think... :dunno

Instant replay is bad for the game. It does not guarantee a perfectly called game. All it does consistently is slow down the game. Especially when there is no criteria on which plays the officials will review. Pisses me off. If you are going to have Instant replay you gotta do it like they do it in the nfl

That was a B.S. call but that's the game and it happens sometimes......all teams seem to have some B.S. calls throughout the season.....
